We are searching for an experienced Cloud Migration Technical Project Manager to support a client in support of the Maryland state government.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage cloud migration projects, specifically converting legacy databases and migrating to Azure
  • Manage client expectations and maintain clear communication throughout the project
  • Oversee a 3-month proof of concept
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues as needed
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Continuously improve project management processes and best practices

Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in Project Management, a PMP certification, or both
  • Strong experience in cloud migration, specifically with Azure and/or AWS
  • Certified in AWS or Azure
  • Experience with legacy data and legacy systems migration projects
  • Ability to manage client expectations and maintain clear communication
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

Other Requirements: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proven stakeholder management experience 
  • High energy, drive, and a passion for building new and innovative products 
  • A self-managed and dedicated approach with the ability to work independently 
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities as well as the flexibility (of working style) to deal with changing and conflicting priorities 
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills 
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming customer needs into an actionable product vision and requirements definition 
  • Experience working alongside C-suite or other senior executives

Performance Location: Remote with 1 day per week in Baltimore, Maryland

Salary: $140K - $160K
